The effectiveness of metacognitive group counseling on internet addiction and academic procrastination of students

Introduction: Internet addiction and academic procrastination dangerous consequences a high prevalence among adolescents students. Aim: This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of metacognitive group counseling on internet Method: quasi-experimental had control-group, pretest-posttest, two-month followup design. The statistical population consisted all male school students in Takestan, Iran, year 2020-2021. A total 30 people were randomly selected divided into two experimental (n=15) control groups. Data collected using Questionnaires Academic Procrastination (Solomon Rathblum, 1984) Addiction (Young, 1996). received counseling. data analyzed multivariate analysis covariance repeated measures ANOVA SPSS-26. Results: results showed significant difference between groups reducing (η2=0.36, P<0.01, F=14.63) (η2=0.37, F=15.34). persistent therapy long run.
